West African trio, Senegal, Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire have taken giant steps towards a place at the final tournament of the second edition of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for Nigeria in December.
Senegal, losing finalists at the last edition in Seychelles in 2015, humbled islanders Cape Verde 7-2 away at the Santa Maria Beach on Sal Island on Saturday.
Ibra Sahere Thioune and Mamadou Sylla scored a brace each whilst Babacar Fall, Hamad Diouf and Ibrahima Balde also found the back of the net with Elton Ramos and Givalder da Silva grabbing a consolation for the hosts.
