Bellator Makes Signing Of Former UFC Star Official, Bellator 160 Results

– Rory MacDonald is now officially on the Bellator MMA roster. The former UFC welterweight title contender was introduced during Bellator 160 Friday night on Spike TV. MacDonald’s UFC contract came to an end earlier this year and the promotion did not opt to match the deal presented by Bellator.
“There are multiple reasons why I choose to fight for Bellator MMA and Scott Coker,” MacDonald said. “One, they have given me the opportunity to develop and grow a business together. Two, because I already feel respected by the promotion as a professional athlete. And last but not least, because Bellator is offering a setup that no-one in the world can offer me.”
MacDonald’s debut, though, will have to wait after the 27-year-old Canadian suffered a broken nose in his loss to Stephen Thompson earlier this year.
