Bosnia U20 Team Recap!BiH 97 – Slovakia 51: Slovakia was able to hang around for the first quarter before Bosnia ran away in the second going on a 25 to 6 run and putting the game away early. The team had a balanced attack with six players scoring in double figures led by Haris Curevac with 14pts. Bosnia had 64 rebounds to Slovakia’s 28 and shot a blistering 60.9% from two in the game compared to Slovakia’s 25% which was the difference.Croatia 70 – BiH 66: Bosnia came out dominating in the first quarter and running out to a 24-13 lead. Croatia started pressing the Bosnians and they had no response to the Croats ball pressure. Aleksandar Lazic was brilliant in the game with 22pts 13rbs 1 steal. He shot 4/4 from three and 8/9 FTs in the game. BiH 73 – Romania 58: Bosnia once again got off to a nice lead and held on to beat Romania. The team shot well again from two and forced Romania into 22 turnovers along with getting them into foul trouble with their size inside. Kenan Karahodzic paced Bosnia with 21pts 7rbs 1ass 3blks in the game.BiH 74 – Bulgaria 58: Bosnia won the first quarter by 10 points and never looked back in beating Bulgaria. The FT disparity was a telling stat in the game, Bulgaria shot four and Bosnia shot 19 in the game. Imran Polutak was dominating in the game with 16pts 6rbs 2ass 1stl 1blk in only 20min. BiH 51 – Greece 77: Bosnia outscored Greece 18-11 in the first quarter but then Greece went onto blow them out the rest of the way 66-33 doubling the Bosnians score the rest of the way. Greece only had 8 turnovers to Bosnia’s 23 and once again they proved that they had answers to their rival’s ball pressure. Markus Loncar had a big game with 14pts 12rbs 1ass 2blks. The loss knocked Bosnia out of the quarterfinals and into the classification rounds.BiH 89 – Georgia 49: Bosnia crushed Georgia and overwhelmed them with their size inside and rebounding. They had a balanced attack with five players scoring in double figures for the team. Edin Atic got on track with 22pts 5rbs 3ass 2stls 1blk and shot 3/5 from three in the game. BiH 94 – Poland 63: Bosnia shot a blistering 67.4% from two in the game and had 48 rebounds and 25 assists in the contest. Bosnia was able run and scored easily in transition which Poland had no answer for. Atic had another brilliant game 16pts 13rbs 10ass with 2stls and a block. C Markus Loncar: Loncar played very well for Bosnia and their three headed monster of centers in Loncar, Polutak and Karahodzic. In 24mpg he averaged 12.1ppg 7.3rbpg 1ass while shooting 58.3% from the field and 78.4% from the FT line. He proved to be a powerful asset for the team with his inside presence and toughness. PG Amar Balic: Balic didn’t get the chance to play much, getting into only 4 games and averaging 8mpg he shot 60% from two and averaged 1.5ppg 1rbpg and .8aspg in the tournament. F Ibrahim Durmo: Durmo’s opportunities where limited but he made the most out of them in this tournament. He played in all 7 games and averaged 11mpg 5.6ppg 3rbpg and shot 62.5% from two. He was a nice weapon coming off the bench and creating mismatches for his team.PG Miljan Saric: Miljan didn’t get much of chance to play only getting into two games in the tournament. He has proven his steady leadership as a floor general before this series however.SG Haris Curevac: He had a big first game but then cooled off as the tournament progressed. He ended up averaging 25mpg 8.1ppg 3.4rbpg 2aspg 1.4stls. He shot a solid 56.4% …
