Swansea bid for Mawson accepted

Swansea City have agreed a fee with Barnsley for defender Alfie Mawson and will discuss personal terms with the player over a move to the Liberty Stadium.
The amount he will move for if a deal is struck has not been disclosed but Sky sources believe it to be £5m and Mawson has been withdrawn from Barnsley’s squad for their weekend game with Rotherham.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive season at Oakwell following a move from Brentford in June last year.
