Stanley Cup Champion Oskar Sundqvist Highlights Penguins’ Rookie Tournament Roster

Second-year forward Oskar Sundqvist, who helped the Penguins capture the 2016 Stanley Cup championship in June, headlines Pittsburgh’s roster for the 2016 rookie tournament in London, Ontario.
Sundqvist is one of 24 players (14 forwards; 8 defensemen; 2 goaltenders) that will play in the three-day rookie tournament September 16-18 at Budweiser Gardens. Click here for a complete roster.
In addition to the Penguins, the tournament will also feature the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators.
The Penguins begin the tournament by facing the Canadiens on Friday, Sept. 16 at 3:35 p.m. Pittsburgh plays the Senators on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 3:35 p.m. The Penguins conclude their weekend on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 4:35 p.m. against the Maple Leafs.

Sundqvist, who saw action in two playoff wins for the Penguins during the 2016 postseason run, will be joined by four players who served as ‘Black Ace’ taxi squad members the final two rounds of the playoffs, forwards Josh Archibald, Jean-Sebastien Dea and Dominik Simon, and goaltender Tristan Jarry.
