Owen Burrows is looking forward to returning Markaz back to six furlongs for the Goldene Peitsche at Baden-Baden on Sunday.
The four-year-old failed to cut any ice in the Lennox Stakes and in the Hungerford Stakes – both over seven furlongs – but he is dropped back in trip, a distance at which he won the Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle, for the German Group Two.
