Pardew backs club’s Zaha stance

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has backed chairman Steve Parish’s tough stance on the future of winger Wilfried Zaha.

Palace rejected a £12m bid from Tottenham for the 23-year-old on Thursday, with Parish insisting there was “no chance” the player would be allowed to leave Selhurst Park before the end of the transfer window.

“We’ve told Spurs that there is really no point bidding for him because he is going nowhere – 100 per cent guaranteed,” he said.
