Keanu Neal Injury: Updates on Falcons Safety’s Knee and Return

Atlanta Falcons rookie safety Keanu Neal suffered a knee injury Thursday and was ruled out for the remainder of his team’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins, per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Injury “Not Significant” Thursday, Aug. 25
Ledbetter noted Falcons coach Dan Quinn said the setback was “not a significant knee injury at this point” on the NBC broadcast.
Neal, 21, was the No. 17 overall pick by the Falcons at this year’s draft, and the expectation was that he would immediately compete for a starting safety gig.
