Bellator 160’s Saad Awad: Anderson’s style will be ‘his worst enemy’

Bellator 160 is set to go down this Friday from the Honda Center in Los Angeles, California. The co-main event of the night will be a lightweight tilt between Saad Awad and Derek Anderson. Bloody Elbow’s Eddie Mercado caught up with Saad Awad, fresh off of a first round TKO of Cyborg Santos at Bellator 154, to discuss his previous, upcoming, and future bouts.

Saad Awad spoke on his cake walk of a weight cut in his previous welterweight bout with Evangelista Cyborg Santos:
“I liked it. I didn’t have to cut weight so I didn’t have to worry about making weight. That’s usually that’s half of the fight right there, the weight cut. So I didn’t have to worry about that. I think I cut a couple of pounds the day of but nothing compared to what I usually cut coming in to the fight. So that was cool and I enjoyed it, man. I enjoyed it.”
