Oakland Raiders File Trademark for ‘Las Vegas Raiders’

The Oakland Raiders’ potential move to Las Vegas gained additional steam Thursday, as the franchise filed three trademarks for “Las Vegas Raiders.”
According to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell, the Raiders are attempting to gain exclusive rights to the name for advertising and merchandising purposes on the heels of six individuals already attempting to file for the same trademark.
The Raiders have just one year remaining on their lease at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum.
