McClaren: I wouldn’t pick Terry

Steve McClaren would not bring John Terry back into the England squad for the World Cup qualifiers if he was still in charge of the national team.
The Chelsea defender – who looked at risk of being without a club at the end of last season before signing a one-year contract – has been tipped for an England recall after retiring from international duty in 2012.
Sam Allardyce will announce his squad on Sunday for the opening qualifier in Slovakia on September 4 but McClaren, who made Terry England captain a decade ago – does not think the 35-year-old will make the list.
“I don’t think so,” McClaren told Sky Sports News when asked if Terry should be recalled. “I think John Terry has made that decision himself not to do that.
