Sandro upset over failed move

Sandro has revealed his disappointment at missing out on a move to Sporting Lisbon because of a disagreement over the state of his knee.
The QPR midfielder travelled to Lisbon in June to sign for the Portuguese club – only to be told after a medical that he still had a problem with his right knee.
This meant Sporting were willing to pay him only half the wages they had originally discussed despite a medical in London later confirming he was clear to resume his career.
“I had a call to go to Sporting. I wanted to get the deal done while I was in Lisbon because I was getting married soon after in Brazil,” Sandro told Sky Sports News HQ.
“They checked my right knee and nothing else. Not my ankles or shoulders, which is unusual. So I left the building and I was in my car later on when my agent called me to ask me what was wrong with my knee.
