FA confirms Clarke as chairman

Greg Clarke has been confirmed as the Football Association’s new chairman, succeeding Greg Dyke in the role.
The 48-year-old’s nomination to become the new chairman was approved the FA board in July and was formally ratified by the FA council at Wembley on Wednesday.
Clarke, the former Football League chairman, said: “I’m delighted to be confirmed as the next chairman of the FA and I’m relishing the challenge.
