Verdon heads for Leger rematch

Ed Dunlop is targeting the Ladbrokes St Leger with Red Verdon who is among 25 acceptors for the final Classic of the season at Doncaster on Saturday September 10.
The progressive three-year-old was second in the Group One Grand Prix de Paris on his latest start having finished sixth in the Investec Derby and fourth in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby on his two previous outings.
On both of the latter occasions he was behind Idaho, winner of the Betway Great Voltigeur Stakes at York, and 11/8 favourite for the Leger with Sky Bet.
