Ilja Gromovs VEF Riga (LBL) added to their roster 22-year old international center Ilja Gromovs (209-105kg-94). He played last season at Jurmalas Sports / Fenikss in the LBL. In 21 games he recorded 9.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.0bpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Latvian League Honorable Mention.
