Ventura flusters Fish, Royals extend streak to 9

MIAMI — The red-hot Royals extended their winning streak to nine games with a 1-0 win over the Marlins on Tuesday night in an Interleague matchup of Wild Card contenders at Marlins Park.
Lorenzo Cain’s RBI single in the sixth inning provided the only scoring and made a winner of Yordano Ventura, who improved to 9-9 with six shutout innings. It was his ninth straight start of yielding three earned runs or fewer.
