Miller’s next start may be with D-backs

PHOENIX — D-backs manager Chip Hale is not dismissing the notion that Shelby Miller’s next start could be back in the Majors.
“We’re still discussing what we’re going to do,” Hale said. “He has pitched well, he has done the things that we’ve asked. He just has to keep pitching, whether it’s [at Triple-A Reno] or here.”
Miller has fared much better in Reno than he did with Arizona. Since being demoted July 14, the right-hander is 5-1 with a 3.52 ERA in seven starts.
As of now, Miller is scheduled to make his next Triple-A start Thursday. Robbie Ray is scheduled to go for the D-backs in the series finale against the Braves. Arizona has not announced probable starters for the series against the Reds which begins …
