Shoulder could keep Tillman out of next start

BALTIMORE — Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman “did not have a good work day” on Tuesday, manager Buck Showalter said, and his start Thursday at Washington is in jeopardy. Showalter said Tillman would have his right shoulder examined before Tuesday’s game by Dr. Leigh Ann Curl. Showalter plans to make a decision on Thursday’s start on Wednesday.
It’s concerning news for the Orioles as Tillman has been dealing with shoulder discomfort over the past two weeks. After making a start Aug. 11, he woke up with shoulder pain and had his next start scratched.
