Conor McGregor has three million reasons to smile. The Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder pulled in a record $3 million purse, as he took a majority decision from Nate Diaz in the UFC 202 headliner on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor avenged his UFC 196 submission loss to “The Ultimate Fighter 5” winner, with 48-47 marks from judges Derek Cleary and Jeff Mullen offsetting the 47-47 scorecard struck by dissenting judge Glenn Trowbridge.
