Foundation could try to regain the winning thread in Saturday’s Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor.
The son of Zoffany looked a likely Classic contender last year after winning the Royal Lodge and finishing an unlucky third in the Racing Post Trophy, but has so far failed to live up to expectations this term.
Second in the Craven and third in the Dante, Foundation trailed home last in the French Derby before being given a break, during which time he was gelded.
