Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below are in position to provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Monday.
Carlos Gonzalez: With a lifetime .258 ISO against right-handers that exceeds his .183 mark vs. lefties, the outfielder could have a great game when he bats at hitter-friendly Miller Park against righty Jimmy Nelson (4.31 ERA, 1.49 WHIP in 2016).
DJ LeMahieu: Hitting .341 with a .413 on-base percentage this season, the second baseman has the skills to reach base often when he brings his balanced lifetime splits into a matchup with Nelson and a Brewers bullpen that lacks reliable options after trading away Jeremy Jeffress and Will Smith in late July.
Addison Russell: The second-year shortstop will be in great position to improve on his lifetime 103 wRC+ against right-handers (69 vs. lefties) when he faces righty Edwin Jackson (career 4.60 ERA, 1.51 WHIP). Russell could also thrive late in the game against a Padres bullpen that ranks 26th in the Majors with a 4.46 ERA.
Anthony Rizzo: With 25 homers, 87 RBIs and a .395 on-base percentage across 522 plate appearances, the first baseman has been one of the most productive players in baseball this season. From the heart of a Cubs lineup that ranks third in baseball with 627 runs scored, Rizzo could produce a game-changing DraftKings total at the expense of Jackson (5.36 ERA, 1.51 WHIP in 2016) and an unreliable Padres bullpen.
Scooter Gennett: The second baseman owns lopsided lifetime splits, with a .778 OPS against right-handers in comparison to a .480 mark vs. lefties. Gennett could provide production at a premium position when he bats at his hitter-friendly home park against righty Chad Bettis (career 5.25 ERA, 1.53 WHIP) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 28th in baseball with a 4.80 ERA.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis: With 11 homers and eight steals …
