Snodgrass dreams of captaincy

Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass has revealed he will put himself forward to become the new Scotland captain following Scott Brown’s decision to retire from international football.
It is expected an announcement on the new captain will be made before September 4, when Scotland face Malta in their opening qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup.
West Brom’s Darren Fletcher wore the captain’s armband during Scotland’s end-of-season friendlies against Italy and France and is also expected to be in contention for the role of skipper.
