Lorenzen hits 1st MLB HR after losing father

CINCINNATI — The Reds activated reliever Michael Lorenzen from the bereavement list on Friday and optioned outfielder Kyle Waldrop to Triple-A Louisville.
Lorenzen took a three-day leave on Tuesday to return to California because his father passed away. Now that he was back in the clubhouse on Friday, he was pleased to have the support of the Reds and his teammates.
