Jose Mourinho’s winning reign as Manchester United manager continued on Friday after the Red Devils sent Southampton packing from Old Trafford following a 2-0 win in favour of the hosts.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic provided both goals for the Red Devils as Mourinho’s first home match as Premier League manager came off without a hitch.
The win temporarily moves United to the summit of the English top flight, while manager Claude Puel’s side are still to claim a win this season after drawing 1-1 against Watford on opening day last Saturday.
