Danny Ings has been told he may have to bide his time for a first-team chance at Liverpool this season.
Ings joined on a free transfer last summer and won a first England cap in October, but the striker suffered a cruciate injury in training shortly after Jurgen Klopp’s arrival and did not return until the final game of the season.
