Western & Southern Open 2016: Thursday Tennis Scores, Results, Latest Schedule

Some of the best tennis players in the world took the court for the third round of the 2016 Western & Southern Open in Mason, Ohio, on Thursday.
Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka, among others, were in action on the men’s side of the tournament, while Simona Halep and Angelique Kerber highlighted the women’s slate. The early days of the tournament were dominated by rainy conditions and news of Serena Williams’ withdrawal, but the tennis took center stage Thursday thanks to a handful of upsets.

Murray came to Ohio riding plenty of momentum after winning the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, and he looked dominant against Kevin Anderson, earning a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
