Caleb Sturgis Injury: Updates on Eagles Kicker’s Concussion and Return

The Philadelphia Eagles announced kicker Caleb Sturgis suffered a concussion prior to Thursday night’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and will not play.

Pregame Warm-Ups Sideline Sturgis Thursday, Aug. 18
According to Dave Spadaro of the team’s official website, Sturgis wasn’t wearing a helmet while warming up on the field and was hit on the head by a punt.
The team has not revealed the severity of the concussion or a timetable for his return.
Sturgis, who is preparing for his fourth season in the NFL and his second with the Eagles, has experienced a rocky start to his career.
