Burnley vs. Liverpool: Jurgen Klopp’s Key Quotes from Pre-Match Press Conference

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has questioned the widespread criticism of Reds left-back Alberto Moreno while confirming the likes of Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Joel Matip are nearing full fitness. 

The Anfield outfit opened their 2016-17 Premier League campaign on Sunday with an excellent 4-3 victory at Arsenal, but Moreno received plenty of criticism as he was culpable for conceding a penalty and caught out of position for the Gunners’ opening goal, per the Daily Express’ Paul Joyce.

Speaking ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Burnley on Saturday, Klopp was defensive when asked about the 24-year-old’s form but did not rule out bringing in a new left-back before the transfer window closes, per the Liverpool Echo’s James Pearce: “I’m sorry people aren’t happy with Alberto Moreno. We will only take another one if it’s the guy we want. [The] problem with transfers is no-one cares about players still here.”
