Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 17, 2016 – It’s the world champions against the European champions when the Rio 2016 Olympic Games beach volleyball final takes place, starting at midnight on Wednesday.Germany’s Laura Ludwig/Kira Walkenhorst will battle for the gold medal against the 2015 world champions, Agatha Bednarczuk/Barbara Seixas of Brazil.The Germans have won four of the five meetings, including the last four and two of which were for the gold medal – Hamburg Major in June and the Yokohama Grand Slam in July last year.
