Barcelona vs. Sevilla: Score, Reaction from 2016 Spanish Super Cup Leg 2

Barcelona added to the Spanish Super Cup to their trophy haul after completing a 3-0 second leg victory against Sevilla at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, giving Luis Enrique’s side a 5-0 win on aggregate.

Arda Turan opened the scoring after 10 minutes and doubled his team’s advantage straight after half time. Lionel Messi claimed Barca’s third with a looping header just before the hour mark as the hosts strutted to a convincing win.

Messi pummelled the Sevilla defence for the whole night, as Turan had his best game in a Barcelona shirt.

The reigning Liga champions and Copa del Rey holders claimed a 2-0 victory just a few days ago in Sevilla, with Messi and Munir El Haddadi netting in Andalusia.

Former Sevilla player Aleix Vidal started at right-back for the Blaugrana, as Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne slotted into defence. Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes came in for their full debuts, while Munir and Turan operated with Messi in attack.

There were also a host of changes for Sevilla as Joaquin Correa, Ganso and Pablo Sarabia all came in for their first starts for the club in midfield, while new attacker Ben Yedder led the line.

The opener didn’t take long to come as Turan neatly slotted away his chance in the 10th-minute, assisted by Messi.
