Street’s rehab program slowed, will have tests

ANAHEIM — Angels closer Huston Street has been slowed in his rehab from right knee inflammation and will be sent for further evaluation and tests, manager Mike Scioscia said on Tuesday.
Street was eligible to be activated from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday. He’s started a throwing program, but Scioscia said the right-hander “is being evaluated.”
“I think he’s going to have some further tests,” Scioscia said. “He’s been throwing and making progress, but they certainly want to do some other tests on him just to make sure that he’s progressing in the right direction.”
Street, 33, had a cortisone injection on Aug. 2. He’s been limited to 26 appearances this season and has posted a 6.45 ERA, a 1.93 WHIP and a 1.17 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He hasn’t appeared in a game since July 31.
