Seeds dominate in Ohio

Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet were among the first round winners at the Cincinnati Masters as rain halted play for large parts of the day.
Several of the competitors from Rio 2016 made their entries to the Western & Southern Open with Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal due to start their bids on Wednesday after a draining Olympics competition.
But of those who did manage to play and get their matches completed, their was victory for the highest seed in the early action of the day.
