Yaya Toure’s agent has told Sky Sports News HQ his player will prove he is good enough to feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans despite not yet starting a game for him at Manchester City.
The Ivorian central midfielder has become the latest high-profile victim of Guardiola’s reign having been left out of the squad for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland.
Reports on Monday morning – which so far remain unconfirmed by the former Premier League champions – suggest Toure has not travelled for this week’s match at Steaua Bucharest.
