Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened his Premier League account in style, scoring the third goal in the Red Devils’ 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
The Cherries played an open, attacking game but were soundly beaten by manager Jose Mourinho’s troops, who also found the net through Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney.
In Sunday’s other match, Liverpool and Arsenal served up the first real spectacle of the season, with the Reds grabbing a 4-3 win. Philippe Coutinho bagged a brace and became the Premier League’s top scorer in the process.

United were far from perfect on Sunday, but Mourinho’s troops got off to a winning start in the Special One’s first Premier League match at the helm of his new club, and that should be the main takeaway for fans.
Mata opened the score after 40 minutes with a bit of luck, as the ball took a lucky bounce to fall back into his possession, but the Red Devils deserved to enter half-time with the lead and were far more clinical after the break.
