Marlins lose Stanton, Conley to 15-day DL

MIAMI — The Marlins suffered a costly 8-7 loss to the White Sox on Saturday night, as right fielder Giancarlo Stanton (left groin) and left-hander Adam Conley (hand) sustained injuries that put them on the disabled list Sunday.
Stanton was injured on the final play of the game, attempting to stretch a single to a double. Conley, who started and gave up five runs in four innings, revealed postgame that he has been dealing with a hand injury.
The Marlins selected the contract of infielder Robert Andino and recalled lefty reliever Hunter Cervenka from Triple-A New Orleans.
Stanton, who leads the club in home runs (25) and RBIs (70), pulled up in the ninth inning while trying to stretch a single to a double.
Conley, 25, who wasn’t involved in the decision, said he’s been dealing with a sore left hand his last three starts. In those games, he’s posted a 9.00 ERA.
