Sunday in Santa Clara, California, the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers will be the last teams to open up the 2016 NFL preseason.
Both teams face myriad questions entering the exhibition season, so there will be plenty to monitor on either side. And they may have a chance to get some real answers, because these cross-conference foes aren’t scheduled to meet until 2017.
