Mazzarri: Red card unlucky

New Watford boss Walter Mazzarri felt Ben Watson’s red card was “unlucky” during their 1-1 draw with Southampton on Saturday.
The Hornets substitute was sent off with 14 minutes to play at St Mary’s, forcing Watford to hold on for a point in their opening match of the Premier League season.
The visitors had enjoyed the better of the first half and took the lead through Etienne Capoue, before Nathan Redmond equalised on his Southampton debut.
Watson then saw red after denying Shane Long a goalscoring opportunity, ending a Saints counter-attack by hauling the striker to the ground.
