Gosden happy with Wings plan

John Gosden believes Wings Of Desire’s previous York victory should stand him in good stead in Wednesday’s Juddmonte International Stakes on the Knavesmire.
The three-year-old son of Pivotal was a neck victor in the 10-furlong Dante Stakes at the track back in May before stepping up to a mile and a half to finish fourth in the Derby at Epsom.
He has since finished second in the King George over 12 furlongs at Ascot and could clash again with that day’s victor, Highland Reel, as he drops back to a mile and a quarter this time.
