Lindsay, Szapucki put up big numbers in Cyclones win

Two of the New York Mets’ top picks from the 2015 Draft shined on Friday night as outfielder Desmond Lindsay and left-hander Thomas Szapucki led Class A Short Season Brooklyn to a 14-7 win over West Virginia.
Lindsay, the Mets’ No. 6 prospect, was the offensive star for the Cyclones, as he went 3-for-5 at the plate with a home run and a double on the way to a career-best seven RBIs.
After Lindsay grounded out in his first at-bat, the Mets’ 2015 second-rounder connected on a three-run home run, his third long ball of the season, in the bottom of the third inning to give Brooklyn the lead.
