Iglesias placed on 15-day DL by Tigers

ARLINGTON — The Tigers’ injury woes continued Friday with shortstop Jose Iglesias, who became the third member of the Tigers’ everyday starting lineup in the last seven days to land on the 15-day disabled list.
Iglesias was placed on the 15-day DL with a left hamstring strain suffered Wednesday at Seattle. He joins Nick Castellanos and Cameron Maybin on the DL, as well as starting pitchers Jordan Zimmermann and Mike Pelfrey.
Iglesias first suffered the injury running hard down the line on a ground ball during his pinch-hit appearance Wednesday against the Mariners. He finished out that game at shortstop, but felt it tighten up once the game ended.
