Dana White: I ‘fully expect’ McGregor to return to 145; Nick Diaz won’t get immediate title shot

We’re just one week away from Conor McGregor’s rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202. McGregor won the featherweight belt from Jose Aldo last December in 13 seconds, but has yet to defend his title. Lofty goals to fight for the welterweight crown seem to be shelved after McGregor’s loss to Diaz at UFC 196, and there’s been plenty of interest as far as whether or not McGregor will ever return to 145 lbs.
In an interview with UFC.com, Dana White stated his expectation that we will see McGregor defend his championship post-Diaz rematch.
