Fresco’s ace caps sensational victory of Argentina

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 12, 2016 – Lucia Fresco landed an ace with her floating serve to cap a thrilling five-set victory of Argentina over Cameroon 3-2 (19-25, 25-19, 26-28, 25-21, 15-13) in Pool A of the women’s volleyball tournament at Rio 2016 Olympic Games on Friday.
It was the first victory for the Olympic-debutants Argentina in four appearances in the tournament, while Cameroon remained winless at 0-4.
Middle blockers Emilce Sosa and Florencia Busquets were the top scorers for Argentina with 21 and 18 points, respectively, followed by Fresco and Tanya Acosta with 11 and 10 points.
