Connections of the Richard Hannon-trained Ventura Storm are dreaming of Classic success in next month’s Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster.
A Middleham Park Racing syndicate has yet to win a Classic but in Ventura Storm the organisation, which has its headquarters in Barton-upon-Humber, looks to have an ideal candidate for the final Classic of the season on September 10.
The three-year-old son of Zoffany has benefited from positive tactics and a step up in distance on his last two starts, staying on strongly to win the 11-furlong Listed Glasgow Stakes at Hamilton in July before a decisive victory in the Group Three Prix de Reux over an extended 12 furlongs at Deauville.
