Reynolds dealing with injury to hamate in hand

ARLINGTON — Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds is likely headed to the 15-day disabled list with an injury to the hamate bone in his left hand.
Reynolds was removed from the Rockies’ 12-9 victory over the Rangers on Thursday afternoon when he felt pain on a swing-and-miss at Jeremy Jeffress’ 96-mph sinker inside in the seventh inning. Reynolds crumpled to the turf in pain and was replaced by Cristhian Adames.
X-rays were inconclusive; Reynolds will undergo an MRI on Friday.
