Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – August 11 – The U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo Team won their second straight match in convincing fashion at the 2016 Olympic Games as they defeated China 12-4. Maggie Steffens (Danville, CA/Stanford/NYAC) and Maddie Musselman (Newport Beach, CA/Corona del Mar HS/CdM Aquatics) scored four goals to lead the offense while Ashleigh Johnson (Miami, FL/Princeton/NYAC) and Sami Hill (Santa Barbara, CA/UCLA/Santa Barbara) combined for 11 saves in net. Now 2-0 in pool play, Team USA returns to play on Saturday when they close out pool play on Saturday with a match against Hungary at 1pm/12pm et/9am pt.
