Pat McCormack makes his Olympic debut on a day when two other Team GB fighters look to progress into the quarter-finals.
The north east hopeful takes on Ablaikhan Zhussupov of Kazakhstan, in the first round of the light-welterweight event.
Before that, the impressive Joshua Buatsi takes on a Elshod Rasulov in the Round of 16 at light-heavyweight and at the end of another busy day at the Riocentra Pavillion 6, Josh Kelly also looks to win his second fight and make the last eight.
McCormack has the experience and talent but like of the vast majority of this Great Britain team, will be making his Olympic debut.
