Continental Cup qualifier nets second Beach win

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 11, 2016 – Russians Dmitri Barsouk and Nikita Liamin, one of the last two entries into the men’s Beach Volleyball competition at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, posted their second Pool B win here late Tuesday by eliminating a team from Germany from the Copacabana quadrennial.
Barsouk and Liamin, who were part of a Russia team that secured the Rio berth at the FIVB Continental Cup Finals last month in Sochi, scored a 2-0 (21-14, 21-17) win 38 minutes over Markus Bockermann and Lars Fluggen of Germany.
