Tribe’s Zimmer exits after HBP in Triple-A game

WASHINGTON — Indians No. 1 prospect Bradley Zimmer was removed from Triple-A Columbus’ game against Toledo on Wednesday night after being hit on the fingertips by a pitch.
Zimmer, who is also MLBPipeline.com’s 31st-ranked prospect, was attempting to bunt in the fifth inning of Columbus’ game. The outfielder was then hit by a pitch from Toledo’s Matt Crouse and immediately replaced by Clippers outfielder Collin Cowgill.
