Cervelli leaves with left wrist discomfort

PITTSBURGH — Catcher Francisco Cervelli left the Pirates’ game against the Padres on Wednesday night at PNC Park after four innings due to left wrist discomfort.
Cervelli appeared to be favoring his left hand behind the plate and while running the bases after drawing a third-inning walk off Edwin Jackson. When right-hander Ryan Vogelsong returned to the mound to start the fifth inning, Cervelli was replaced by Eric Fryer.
