Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 10, 2016 – Adrian Gavira and Pablo Herrera saved their best for the last as the Spaniards secured their second Pool F Beach Volleyball win of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games by defeating Jake Gibb and Casey Patterson of the United States.
With their 2-1 (21-19, 16-21, 15-7) win in 55 minutes, Gavira and Herrera are guaranteed a spot in the 16-team men’s elimination bracket where opening matches will be played Friday and Saturday at the 12,000-seat “Coliseu on Copacabana”.
